Founder of Orange Poppy and the journal is Misha Luyckx. She followed her lifelong dream to the United States and her journey began with publishing the Read Me When You Need Me journal. The Origin of “Read Me” Journals
The concept Read Me When You Need Me traces back more than a century to the tradition of Bible and Prayer Jars: simple glass jars filled with handwritten verses, prayers, or uplifting words. People would reach for one whenever they needed a moment of peace or encouragement, trusting that the right message would find them at the right time.

These jars became a daily ritual in many homes during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. And a part of a broader practice of daily reflection and gratitude, offering a tangible way to connect with one’s thoughts or faith. Over time, this small act of pulling a message “just when you need it” evolved into journals, letters, and keepsakes shared between loved ones.

Our Read Me When You Need Me journal continues this heartfelt tradition in a new form. It holds messages, stories, and advice written for someone you care about.
